This 2004 raw pu erh cake is produced by Nan Jian Feng Huang tea factory. Noticed these cakes were packed in 5 cakes to a tong. Each cake is 200g and this tea had been stored in Singapore. Pix 3 shows an unopened tong of 5 cakes. You can see that the twine strings used to tie the wrapper are also used ti tie the 5 cakes.
This 200g cake is strong from the very 1st infusion. The strength of this tea is evident as this tea remained strong for more than 10 infusions. Good sweaty sensations with aromatic woody and herbal notes. I enjoy the later infusions of a medicinal soup taste and aroma in the tea. This tea at 17 years old shows some mellowness and in turn, I can imagine how strong and bitter when this tea was produced in 2004. Storage is clean and dry and the 17 years of Singapore storage will please any serious puerh tea drinker.
I recommend that you do not have a session of tea on an empty tummy. Buckle up, this is one strong adventure.
One 200g tea cake with every unit order.
